M-Zine is an online magazine and zine for writing on art, music, culture, and tech. We publish the way underground print once did: honest, hand-edited, and built to be read.
M-Zine was founded to resist algorithmic feeds in favor of focused, deliberate cultural writing. We draw on classic DIY print culture, photocopied ephemera, and open-web publishing, so an essay can sit beside a flyer, a record sleeve, or a circuit diagram.
The result is a place where art, music, culture, and tech share the same room. We look for the points where these subjects collide, and we give each one room to breathe.
Editorial principles
How we publish
01
Depth of inquiry
Every piece starts with a question worth asking. We favor reporting, close reading, and a clear point of view over quick takes.
02
Readable pacing
Longform can take its time, but the page should never make it hard to follow. Clean columns, generous leading, and clear headings keep attention on the writing.
03
Independent distribution
We publish on our own terms, on the open web, free from engagement-driven feeds. Readers find our work directly, and we answer to them.
